Keys to Creating Your Personal Brand Story
The first step to build a powerful personal brand is to identify and create your story. Done properly, this is what will set you apart from the masses and gives your potential buyer a chance to relate and resonate with you. Creating your story also gives you a chance to really understand your personal brand.
A great place to start is to define your core values, define your target market and then create a story that tells your buyer who you are, where you’ve been and where you’re going.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind when creating your story…
The goal of your story is to create a relationship with your prospects.
Start your story with a problem and then share your journey through solving it.
Be Real, No Lies or False Claims.
Show your personality, stay true to yourself and be relatable
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Keep this simple. Start by outlining the problem and solution you’ll share within your story. Then outline the major events that will resonate with your buyers. Write a few sentences around each event that convey how you felt along this journey. Engage your audience at an emotional level.
Let your buyers know where you’re going.
What is your mission, your purpose, your passion? What drives you and what is your ultimate purpose? This is where you want to be very clear about how you can help your audience.
Once you’ve completed your first draft read through your story and make sure that you have defined yourself in a simple and authentic way that will be clear to others. Finally, be sure to use this story and fragments of it within all of your marketing so that it really sticks in your audience’s mind. This builds trust and rapport.
The only reason I was able to quit my corporate job and move back to Malaysia was because of PRO. The beauty of the platform is that everything is here.
