What’s your passion?
19 September 2012 | Posted by PRO U | Tags: Personal Development, Perspective | 2 Comments
On the MIGHT Mastery call today, PRO Leadership Corps member Peter Hobler told an incredible story of a life cut short, but lived to the fullest – the story of his brother, Chris.
Chris Hobler was a musician who toured the United States for years, opening shows for well known bands and traveling thousands of miles. Music was his passion. But Chris’s life would be changed when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in the summer of 2001.
Many people in Chris’s position would have given up on their passion after getting such devastating news, but Chris found a new passion through it: helping to advance research into neurolog…
Black Belt Mentoring System Coming Soon to PRO!
5 June 2012 | Posted by PRO U | Tags: Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Personal Development | No Comments
On his WAKE UP call today, PRO Founder Jay Kubassek brought on his first mentor, John Lavenia, to talk about some of the things John is excited to bring to the PRO community. John announced that his personal Black Belt Mentoring system will be available to PRO members later this week.
John’s mentoring system philosophy is about focusing on what drives results. “When I first get out of bed in the morning, I ask myself what the most fruitful things I can do with my day is”, says John. “That especially applies to the things I don’t want to do. Getting them out of the way gives you that psychological merit badge that boosts your confidence and gives you that feeling of being a doer.”

Creating Wealth: Fixed Income Strategies
29 May 2012 | Posted by PRO U | Tags: Investing, Money, Personal Development | 1 Comment
You can be very successful and make a ton of money in your business, and that’s great. But if you don’t manage it and hold onto it properly, you’ve wasted an opportunity to create lasting wealth. PRO U President Jay Kilberg discussed how fixed income investments are a key part of any long-term financial strategy on the monthly Money and Your Business call.
Businesses raise money through equity and financing. Equity (in the form of stock) can have a great return, but it’s more unpredictable and subject to swings. Debt (in the form of bonds) is a fixed income, and has less upside but also less downside than equity stakes. This makes fixed income a very conservative form of investing.<…
Peter Hobler Kicks Into Higher Gear

PRO member Peter Hobler has big goals, and he stood as Justin Woolf’s guest on Friday’s Take Action call to tell about how he found ways to make his weekly goals happen.
His biggest challenge was to structure his day properly. “As a business coach, I had been taught to have every minute of every day assigned to a task I wanted to complete,” Peter says. “But I was never really comfortable with that. I felt like I had a lot of creativity under the surface, and I didn’t have any time to let that work for me. It wasn’t about finding more time. It became about prioritizing how to do things.”
What was Peter’s DMO (Daily Method of Operation)?

PRO U Member Britt Hamill and What He Learned in His Week of Woolf Mentorship
14 May 2012 | Posted by PRO U | Tags: Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Online Advertising | No Comments
Here’s what happened last week for Britt Hamill, the latest PRO U member featured on Justin Woolf’s action-oriented call series designed to propel a member to set and accomplish goals in the course of 5 days.
For Hamill, the goals were to write a blog post everyday, write two emails, and place a targeted classfied ad on a business-oriented website. All the efforts aimed to generate leads.
One of Britt’s motives was to get specific about placing text ads. “I had some trouble in the past getting people to call me back. I would get a little sidetracked with that. But I got much better about avoiding that this week and staying focused on revenue generating activities.
